Speeding up your website is important for SEO. A website speed could affect your search ranking in Google or other search engine. To optimize your website speed, you should follow these two simple rules.

- Install speed optimization plugins

- Click on the “Plugins” at the sidebar.
- Click “Add New” at the top.
- Search for the plugin’s name or relevant keyword of the plugin.
- Install and activate the plugin.
- You may have to edit the setting.

WP Super Cache
This is an AWESOME plugin that does not require many work after installation. After installing and activating the plugin, head to the “Setting” of WP Super Cache and check the “Caching On (Recommended)”. You may want to test it to make sure you have properly installed.
This plugin makes my website from 1.2 second of loading time to 0.5 second of loading time! That is incredible!
EWWW Image Optimizer
This is a plugin that compress your image without affecting your image quality. This makes your image load faster.
After installing the plugin, head to the setting. At the setting, click on the “Bulk Optimize” here.
Just start optimizing your image and wait till it finished.
Remove Query Strings from Static Resources
You don’t have to know what it is. It just do what it says at its name.
You don’t have to worry about the setting. All you have to do is just activating this plugin and it will be slightly faster.
Same as above. You don’t have to set up anything too.
Just activate it.
Optimize Database after Deleting Revisions
After downloading this plugin, head to the setting.
Check all the boxes and click “Start Optimization”.

You have done the optimization for your website. Now, head back to the link above and test your website speed again. You have to wonder how fast is your website now.
On average, if you have never done any optimization before, your website is going to be getting 150-200% faster than before.
